TENERIFE PROVES TOO CLINICAL

The home team missed a penalty before halftime (0-2)
Badalona Women faced a tough challenge against Costa Adeje Tenerife, one of the season’s standout teams. With Berta Pujadas already sidelined and key central defender Cristina Cubedo forced to rest due to muscular issues, the squad knew it would be a difficult match.

The first half was evenly contested. Badalona gradually found their rhythm, controlling the game against a compact Tenerife side that made very few mistakes. Just before halftime, Lice Chamorro won a penalty, but Maria Llompart’s effort was brilliantly saved by Tenerife goalkeeper Noelia Ramos, keeping the score at 0-0.
The missed opportunity proved costly. In the second half, Badalona struggled to find their footing and conceded two goals within seven minutes. Despite their best efforts to close the gap, Tenerife held on for the 2-0 win, moving up to fourth place and just five points from the Champions League spots.
